Why does handover take 2–12 h?

Bare metal is racked per order, not pre-imaged: an operator builds the array, installs your OS, issues IPMI credentials and hands the box over — typically inside 2–12 h. If you need compute now, a VPS is online in 15 min.

Which regions stock dedicated servers?

Bucharest, Amsterdam and Zurich. Reykjavik, Kuala Lumpur and Panama City are VPS-only — same no-KYC checkout, smaller footprint. Zurich carries a ×1.25 modifier; the other dedicated regions bill at the base rate.

Do I get console access if the OS dies?

Yes — every chassis includes IPMI / KVM-over-IP on a private management network. Mount an ISO, reinstall, watch POST. Recovering a broken boot does not require a ticket.

How are the disks laid out?

Kermadec, Java and Tonga run mirrored NVMe pairs in soft-RAID; Kuril and Mariana run NVMe RAID-10 arrays. Drives are wiped before handover, and you can re-partition from IPMI at will.

Can I run Windows Server on bare metal?

Yes — Windows Server 2022 with the licence add-on at $8.50/mo. The 17 Linux and BSD images are licence-free.
